On Foot
From Kenzingen train station to Bombach and the Adventure Forest (climbing park), the walk takes about 35 to 45 minutes (approximately 3 km).
Here is your route:
Leave Kenzingen station on the eastern side (towards the town center and the hills, not the industrial area). Through the town: Walk straight ahead across Eisenbahnstrasse and Hauptstrasse into Bombacher Strasse. Towards the vineyards: Follow Bombacher Strasse straight out of town. The path leads gently uphill and offers a beautiful view over the Rhine valley. The ascent: Continue on the combined bike and pedestrian path running parallel to the L113 towards Bombach. Shortly before reaching the Bombach district, you will see the forest edge on your left and signs for the climbing park. The destination: Turn left onto the forest path (usually signposted as “Adventure Forest” or “Sports Field”). After a few hundred meters, you will arrive directly at the entrance.
Important information for your trip:
The path is mostly paved or well maintained, but it is a steady uphill walk. Consider bringing a bottle of water for the return trip after climbing. If your legs feel tired after climbing: Bus lines 722 or 772 occasionally run from the “Bombach Ort” stop back to Kenzingen station. Check the app beforehand, as buses run infrequently during off-peak hours. Time buffer: If you have booked an introduction session at the climbing park, plan an extra 15 minutes.
